Marianne Leuzinger-Bohleber, 2016

Leuzinger-Bohleber, is director in charge of the Sigmund-Freud-Institut in Frankfurt a.M., Germany, professor em. for psychoanalysis at the University of Kassel. She is training analyst of the German Psychoanalytical Association (DPV/IPA), former member of the Swiss Psychoanalytical Society.

2001-2009 She was Chair of the Research Subcommittee for Conceptual Research of the International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA), since 2010 :Vice Chair des Research Board der IPA. She was mainly responsible for the Joseph Sandler Research Conferences in Frankfurt from 2008-2014 and is staff of the Research Training Program (RTP) of the IPA. She is Visiting Professor at the University College London and member of “Action Group” der “Society for Neuropsychoanalysis”.

Her research fields are clinical and extraclinical research in psychoanalysis, psychoanalytical developmental research, prevention studies, interdisciplinary dialogue between psychoanalysis and literature, educational sciences, Embodied Cognitive Science and the neurosciences. She has been responsible for several large research projects in the field of psychoanalytical psychotherapy research, ADHD, early prevention and adolescence and was coordinator of the EU project: Ethical Dilemma due to Prenatal and Genetic Diagnostics (EDIG) (2005-2008).

Marianne has published widely with over 340 articles, 16 monographs and 35 edited books.

She was born in Glarus (Switzerland) and is married to Werner Bohleber. She has two grown up children and a grand son. She lives in Frankfurt a.M. and works at the Sigmund-Freud-Institut as well as in private practice.
