Madeleine Baranger, 2008

Ms. Baranger is considered one of the most important figures in psychoanalysis in both Argentina and Uruguay. She has a reputation as an expert, not only in psychoanalysis from the scientific perspective, but also in the field of analytic training. Based on her rich clinical experience with her patients, Ms. Baranger continues to revisit and develop her scientific contributions to psychoanalysis, in particular the Theory of the Analytic Field, which she started to develop with her husband, Willy Baranger (a recipient of a Sigourney Award in 1993). This theory is a seminal psychoanalytic contribution.
